Overview

Menya Shishido B.Land is a ramen restaurant in Petaling Jaya that delivers a genuine Japanese experience through its rich broths and carefully crafted bowls. Nestled at 2, Jalan 51a/225, Seksyen 51a, it stands out in Selangor for offering ramen with up to three combined soup base flavors, a feature that appeals to those who appreciate complexity in their meal. Popular choices include the curry and black garlic blends, which bring deep, balanced flavors without overwhelming the palate.

The main dish here is the ramen — hearty, satisfying, and filled with springy noodles that hold up well in the broth. The chashu pork is notably tender and generous, often described by diners as a highlight that adds authentic richness. Accompanying elements like fresh spring onions and black fungus bring freshness and texture, enhancing both flavor and satiety. For those who enjoy sides, the fried chicken—crispy and tender—is widely favored, though some may find the sweet coating a bit polarizing.

Beyond the food, Menya Shishido B.Land offers a comfortable and thoughtfully arranged dining space. The layout includes seating on the ground floor and additional room upstairs, catering well to groups and solo diners alike. The atmosphere blends casual and lively, making it a fitting spot for ramen enthusiasts seeking a relaxed meal. Despite occasional warmth from the open front door, the air-conditioning ensures a mostly pleasant environment.

Service here is attentive and modern, enhanced by tablet menus that simplify ordering while keeping interaction friendly and efficient. Even during peak times, customers have found seating readily available, a testament to the restaurant’s smart reservation and space management.

This ramen spot edges toward a slightly higher price point within the local market, yet offers portions and flavors that justify the cost, especially when compared to ramen experiences abroad. It appeals primarily to those who value authentic Japanese flavors in a casual setting, including both first-timers and repeat patrons. Whether craving a comforting bowl after a busy day or a flavor-packed meal with nuanced broth pairings, Menya Shishido B.Land remains a notable destination for ramen lovers in Petaling Jaya.

Great food. The soup base for ramen can choose up to three flavours. Recommending the curry and black, the taste is rich in flavours. Noodle is springy and the portion is generous. Fried chicken is good too but does not like the sweet flavouring coated on the chicken.

My first visit to Menya Shishido at B.Land for a Japanese ramen experience was truly delicious and impressive! Despite it being a Saturday at what should have been peak hours, the place wasn't crowded at all. We immediately got a seat, and there were even a few empty tables, which was a pleasant surprise. The dining area is thoughtfully arranged with tables for two and four pax, and I noticed a staircase, suggesting that observer seats or additional seating might be available upstairs. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Once seated, they offered both a special printed menu and an iPad for ordering, making the selection process easy and modern. We opted for the Lemon Shoyu Ramen and a side of Garlic Fried Chicken. The ramen arrived in a huge bowl, and while the price is slightly higher for Malaysia, it felt entirely reasonable when compared to Japan, especially considering the generous, big chunk of braised pork it came with. Both the ramen and the garlic fried chicken were great in terms of taste. The seating is spacious and comfortable. However, it's worth noting that it can get a little warm inside since the main door is often open. For parking, you can conveniently park at the nearby gym's parking lot and then enjoy a short, few-minute walk over to the restaurant. Overall, it was a great food and service experience – definitely a place I'd recommend for a satisfying ramen fix!

Been here multiple times and still my best ramen to go so far. Love the authenticity of the menus especially the charsiew and broth soups combo. Though, this is a backdated review. I must give my recommendation to this ramen. Thick and flavourful broth. Tender and juicy charsiew. Springy noodle. Generous amount for black fungus and spring onion makes it fresh yet fulfilling my satiety. It is indeed my mood changer and fill my stomach for the day! Oh yeah.... Fried gyoza has it's crisp and juicy meat to the bites

Japanese Ramen restaurant. Price below not yet include Service Charge and Service Tax. Atmosphere: 4 Not a lot tables on ground floor (about 6 for 2 to 6 pax) but there's an upper floor. It can be quite noisy with the wrong crowd. Air conditioning is good and space between tables is also nice. Service: 4 Orders through a tablet which the staff will brings to you and there's a button to call for staff in case you need further help. Service is quite friendly and quick. Food: Shi Shui Ramen 3.5 - Chasiu 4, Broth 3.25, Noodle 3.75, Egg 3.75 Double flavor of Black Garlic and Basil Pork Soup. They offer single and up to 3 combination flavours of broth at same price. The egg is not flavored but the centre part egg white is still very flowy but somehow the egg yoke is fully cooked. Chasiu is exceptionally tender. Broth is not overly thick but maybe this combination of Garlic and Basil isn't for me but it's deep flavored for sure. I think some spiciness mix would be a better combination. Noodle is definately what I like (hard and springy) but not sure if this is customisable for different customer preference (no such option in ordering system). Portion is not a lot. Priced at Rm 29++ (Extra noodle +Rm 6++) Sides: Chicken Karaage 4 Very tender and juicy but I think skin is included as it also feels fatty. Flavouring and texture is okay (bot crispy, just normal). Priced at Rm 19++ Drinks: Water (Iced) Non refillable, priced at Rm 1++

Located in Bland beside Rays. Kyurizuke (rm7); first plate was really good that i ordered a 2nd one but 2nd was a bit too salty and deeper vinegar taste. 2nd batch could be at lower batch but can they serve at least 10piece? i greedy ;) Fried Garlic Chicken (rm24); chicken is tender, outer skin is crispy and tasty. Ramen Black Garlic and Basil (rm28); im no basil lover but this combination taste goood. but need to stir the broth every now and then else the basil stench will be too strong for me. meat is tender and not stenchy. spring onion is plentyyyy i like. noodles are springy but not stiff.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time here. Forgot to review. Anyway, came here because needed to go to somewhere else nearby. Total number of reviews and ratings are quite impressive. To me, this is the best place for Ramen, if not one of the best. Why? I think because the Pork. Tastes aromatic and texture are nice. Bean sprouts can be topped up, good addition to the Ramen. First time we tried the Tamago. Warm when it arrived, I guess they made it fresh. Excellent place for Ramen. Would love to find a better place, if any.

Ramen is pretty good esp when pair with the yakibuta. Will come back again. Perhaps plain water refill can be considered rather than limiting to green tea only.
